We just got back from another lovely trip to the Jersey Shore. It's amazing how much difference a year makes where now Jonas and Caleb are passionate about spending time at the beach. Jonas loves to boogie board and play in the ocean, Caleb likes to hunt for tiny clams and sand crabs to put in his bucket to "save" for later. (In case you're curious half a day baking in the hot sun and that bucket is the worst smelling thing you can imagine.)
Grandma Dinny at 90 is currently recuperating from another hip/leg surgery in Seattle and I can't help but think of how lucky I am. When she was my age she couldn't run after her kids anymore because she had just survived polio and of course my own mother at 35 was already fighting breast cancer. So here we five are having the time of our lives enjoying each other, our amazing extended family and life with three boys that has us full throttle full time, but loving every day of it.
